Friday Features #55, Mes Préférés and the CeCe Caldwell’s giveaway winner!

WOW!  Do you ladies know how to turn out in style for a giveaway.  Thank you so much to everyone who entered.  I was amazed and so excited at the enthusiasm.

The winner of the CeCe Caldwell’s Paint giveaway is……………..

Congratulations Lisa!  I am so excited for you to try out CeCe Caldwell’s paint products.  They are AHMAZING.

Thank you to everyone who linked up, what a great party it was!

Now here is the little teensy weensy gripe I have.  At the end of the last link party, I asked, begged, pleaded with you to PLEASE turn off your word verification for comments.  I noticed there were less of them this time.  Trust me, those of you who still have it turned on, you will receive very little SPAM.  Your blog server controls and blocks almost all of it.  Having it on however chases potential commenters and followers away.  It is like someone invited you to their home, but made you show ID and answer tricky questions before they would let you in.   I have to say, I would have loved to include some of the projects I saw, but I have SOOOOOO many links to look at, that if I see word verification, I move on.  It simply takes too much time, and half the time I have to squint at the screen, and still get it wrong!  So……if you would like your project featured here or at any link party, you can greatly increase your odds of that happening if you get rid of this horrible, horrid, awful feature:

Phew, I feel much better now.  Time to get the good stuff, le Features!!!

Daisy Maybelle shared this wonderful tutorial on how to create burlap labels for baskets.  Sew simple, and sew cute!

Blue Star Antiques is soooo talented.  She always has amazing projects.  I just loved this one.  An old stool, with a Tea label from the Graphics Fairy.  It looks like the label came with the stool!

Do you know Kristy from 4 the Love of Wood?  If not, then you better get to know her.  She is uber talented, and she is the master of graphics on her furniture (along with Art is Beauty).  This bathroom cabinet is just jaw dropping.

Kim from Too Much Time always has some fresh new take on old ideas.  And this shelf is no exception.  I love the details and I can’t wait to make one myself.

I love chalkboards, I can’t get enough of them, and I love the color of Turquoise, in all it’s shades, and Ugly Duckling Transformations shows you how to get one of these yourself!

Here is another sooooo talented girl.  Lori from Mama with a Dash of DIY Drama  has done some very original projects, and this one is no exception.  Go check out all her originals after you check out how to make a table like this!

And finally, From Gentogen showed this adorable patchwork table her friend created, and shows how you can make one too.  So original!

Thanks so much for hosting your party for us! I am in the French frame of mind this week trying to
French-i-fy my living room for a season. My entry this week has a faux painting of folks walking near the Eiffel Tower and some really neat pictures of Paris in the rain…I think you will enjoy it.

Honestly – thank you for your help with the word verification . Blogging is a new fun adventure but I still have a lot to learn. I appreciate you taking the time to explain.

I feel your word verification pain! It should just be all together illegal. I usually get the first one wrong and then end up trying again, then I get that one wrong and give up on the comment all together! Anywho, thanks for featuring my little shelf-All of the features are just wonderful, that dresser is ridiculous:)

Also, is it just my computer…or are one and a half links are cut off on the right side all the way down on everyone’s? Maybe it’s a glitch on my end, but just in case, I thought I’d mention it because I can’t see all the links. :(

Thanks again for doing the party!

I agree with you about the verifications–a pain in the caboose. And for me, problematic becasue I often can’t determine some of the letters.
