Happy almost weekend mes amis!
Thank you to everyone who shared their creativity last week. Some of you just blow me away with the things you come up with out of stuff that was bound for a land-fill. I love it, these are my favorite kinds of Redouxs.
I have so many projects to share, actually took some photos today, but Emma and I have been painting like fiends. We started a kitchen, and two small baths this week. I did a desk, an entry piece, a bench made out of chairs, and rearranged my office, including moving the heaviest couch known to man in here by myself. It was one of those things where I had superwoman strength. I had to take the door off the hinges, then tilt the beast just at the right angle to get it in here. Did I mention I cleaned out three bookshelves and restaged the one that is my dumpster find, that I PROMISE I will share soon.
Anywho, I found this couch sitting in front of my favorite dumpsters one morning. The man who owns the Golf Cart Repair shop next to the dumpster was nice enough to help me load it in my van. (After he bragged about the Coffee Table he scored that I missed, hmph). I was lucky enough to pay the two landscapers who were working on the house across the street to get it in my house. How on earth I got if from my living room to my office I do not know. It was so hard, I may have let a few bad words slip. I may have even cried. Oh yes, I also moved my beast of a metal desk, about three inches. Which to me felt like moving it 10 miles. I was so excited to have this “new” space. I planned to have it be the perfect hide out. This is what I found tonight.
So glad I could make things comfy for you people.
Yes, the couch is dirty, and well, let’s face it. It has recliners!!!! This is not the sort of thing I would even think about buying twice, but it was so comfy, and the fabric can be cleaned, and now it is in my office. I just need to find a spare moment to actually relax on it….
Enough about moi, on with the party!
From the The Craftiest of Women this gorgeous marble-topped buffet. She found it for a great deal, and gave it a completely new, updated look. I love it.
You have probably seen this fantastique project from The Concrete Cottage
It has been everywhere this week. But in case you missed it, this is a Target lamp, and the tutorial to make it look like this is so easy!
This is the loveliest project, and so adorable, a simple wood plate is transformed from:
I do, I do, I do try to share the love, but I love Turnstyle Vogue so much that I had to share what she did again. This desk, swoon! I want it in my entry!
And have you seen this? Try to guess what this towel rack started out life as. Give up? A communion table! You have to go see Reposhture’s post to see what else she has done to give new life to this table. Amazing!
