Happy Thursday, and almost weekend!! I hope everyone is feeling a bit of Fall by now. We finally, FINALLY got cooler weather here, and it even rained last night, the first time in months. Of course, I was not prepared, as I was frantically covering up my precious junque pile with tarps in the dark!
I am continuously inspired and so grateful you share your work with me each week. I can’t wait to start trying some new techniques and colors!
Here is what I am sharing today:
There were so many gorgeous projects, I had a hard time choosing! To start the party, I am sharing a link to Lilyfield Life. Fiona shared the most fabulous post about all kinds of tips for painting, different paints, this post is a must read for anyone interested in “redouxing” furniture.
Do you have a “sign” for your business? I used to, and I left it in my garage, right near where I paint…..You can guess how not lovely it looked after a year or so. I am inspired to make a new one. This one can hang in my office. What a wonderful idea to confirm that you are “a real business”. I love this sign Simply Vintageous made for herself. Maybe this will inspire us all to take ourselves a little more seriously!
I have a weakness for old buffets. I just can’t get enough of them. This buffet from Dear Emmeline is exceptionally amazing. It has beautiful wood inlays that she covered with painters tape, so they would remain with the finished product. I predict this is going to sell very fast, if it hasn’t already!
I am in love with all the gorgeous Fall decor and projects I am seeing. I love even more the millions of options for pumpkins. I am with Paisley and Porter, I love the look of Mercury Glass, or metallic Pumpkins, but I do not want to spend $24 on them. She has a great solution, craft paint, in layers for the little minis. The finished product is gorgeous.
I love butcher block. I love it so much I have it covering the countertops of my island. If you have a small kitchen and you want to incorporate a butcher block island, Storywood Design has a beautiful example. She got this gorgeous block from an estate sale of a Master Woodworker. She used the perfect shade of Milk Paint to enhance the piece and added some vintage hardware. The final effect is just gorgeous.
Have you ever seen a swing in a family room? Do you wish your family room looked more like a sun porch? Daisy Mae Belle did just this for a client. It is so cute, you definitely want to go check out the whole room.
Are you ready for some Fall colors in your paint scheme? CeCe Caldwell’s is, and so is Shelly at A Little Bit O’ Shizzle. I can’t believe this is Michigan Pine, it is so gorgeous! She also used not one, but three different waxes. Shelly is da’bomb at furniture redouxs. While you are checking out her post, stick around to see all her amazing transformations. You will be so inspired by the colors!
