Link Party #87, Mes Préférés! Nouvel An heureux

Did you have a productive week?  I actually did, in a very mellow sort of way.  My little (not so little anymore) Mr. Red has been home sick this week, unfortunately a terrible Migraine, who knew?  Hopefully this is not something that will happen often, but I did enjoy some mom/son bonding time.

Anyhow, because I was pretty much home bound, I managed to go at a much slower pace.  And guess what I discovered.  My brain slowed down too!  Some people may think this a bad thing, but my brain goes faster than my body most of the time.

I end up trying to cram far too much into the day, only completing a small percentage of what I set out to do.  The office is slowly but steadily coming together.  I will be showing my progress tomorrow, bare concrete floors, more on that garage door panel shelf and some other fun junque finds.

Enough about moi, let’s talk about you!  As in, you are all so talented, and probably are getting out far more than moi.

I absolutely love little stools and benches.  Like me, so does Shabby Love.  She has some adorable stools she created and got a picture of all of them at once, my favorite though is the yard stick cutie.  Stop by her blog and see which one is your favorite.  I was definitely inspired.   PS She was also recently featured in Cottages and Bungalows, this girl has talent!

I absolutely loved taking a stroll at this creative gal’s post at Junk Chic Cottage.  She “flipped” rooms her dining room and living room.  What a difference it made.  Everything is white and bright and cheery.  It looks like a lovely place to sit and relax, but I could only come by myself, the rest of my crew would get something on all that white in 2 seconds flat.

I saw this completely out of the box idea last week from Artsy Va Va.  Who knew, a ruler, some little wood thingies from the craft store, and some serious creativity would come up with this.  It is a photo display, with a beautiful artful side.  You have to visit the post to see how she did this.  I am definitely making one myself.

This is kind of a different feature.  It is the feature of “creativity to come”.  Do you have a “Grand Plan” or list of projects you want to complete in 2013?  I do, but I am not making them public.  Yet.  I was pretty pleased with myself when I was looking over last year’s list and I did complete quite a few of them.  This year, I am giving myself far more time.  I was impressed with Kim at Too Much Time’s Grand Plan.  There were a few in there I could definitely try myself.  Love the Curtains for the porch, and the organized garage work space?  That is coming after the office……

And to wrap it all up this week.  Sometimes it is the simplest things in life that make me smile the most.  This from Our Pinteresting Family just made me smile.  This week, with the really slow pace, and having to be on mommy call all day, it did make me remember that sometimes this is all we need.

With no visits to the gym in recent history, and sitting here all night in front of my computer, I will be developing an unfortunate looking backside if I don’t get up soon.  Time for you to share with me your “Redouxs”!

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for featuring my flipped rooms on your post today. You are the sweetest and you and all your crew can come and sit on my white sectional!!!! I have a basset hound and a hubby that lay all over it. It is made out of 12 oz denim so it wears like steel. If they get anything on it I just use a little shout and it is back to white. So easy peasy. It just looks intimidating since it is white. That denim is also the kind that if you do wash it it becomes softer with each wash just like your fav old jeans. Thanks again for the feature.
