Trashy Tuesday, I am on a roll

Welcome to another edition of Trashy Tuesday, where we talk trash, literally!  I hope you all had a week filled with Junque!  I hope you are feeling totally trashy today because I have the most awesome trash to share with you.

I just have a “thing” for dressers missing drawers.  You can see others I have done Here and Here.

I picked up another one this week at one of my Apartment Dumpster visits.  I envision wheels, maybe a faux wood top like I showed how to do HERE and a distressed black body.  We will see if that it is where it takes me.  I just have a thing about adding wheels to my furniture lately!  Lucky for me, I found a new thrift store where they had a bucket of casters, big ones!  For a fraction of what they cost new.

Here is my other rolling find.  I spied this at about 12:05 a.m. Saturday night when I was driving a large gaggle of teenage girls home from a dance.  I SO wanted to pull over and grab it.  No. 1, it was after midnight and I was very much looking forward to a date with my pillow.  No. 2, I didn’t want to scar my teenager for life by pulling over at 12:05 a.m. to pick up a piece of trashy furniture I spied in the bushes while driving her friends home.

What to do?  Being the good Mormon girl that I am, I went to church the next day and didn’t think about it once, (well maybe once, but not twice!).  After church, on the long way home……I drove around hoping it was still there.  Success!  I know it doesn’t look so lovely now, but I can take the unsightly pillow off, and it has wheels!!!

And to sum up my trashy week.  Here is an update on the ongoing office remodel.  Shelving went up!  I still have a few of those garage door panels left.  I used up most of them in my outdoor wall HERE.  I used this one for a shelf.  Just added shelving brackets, located the studs, and up it went!  Will share with you how I did this on my own on Wednesday.

Happy Junquing my friends.  May your trashy Karma cup runneth over this week.

I really can’t wait to see the re-do on the dresser. I have the exact dresser in my upper garage and my husband said we might as well give it away because the top is laminate and the drawers aren’t tongue and groove. I’m going to hang onto it until I see how yours turns out. BTW, I also looked at your other two no-drawer projects and they are amazing.

Wishing I lived by you so I could be your apprentice

You are an absolute role model for me! When the significant other rolls his eyes when I bring home another bit of curbside treasure, I can navigate to your blog and show him what is possible! :)
Thanks so much for the great inspiration!

I always love your creativity! In your last picture there is a multi-colored basket below the shelf. Did it come that way, or did you decorate it. Looks like a good way to freshen older baskets as well as use up leftover paint. Idea for a tutorial? :-)
