Link Party #90, and Les Features!

As I type, I can’t believe I am almost to 100 link parties!  How fun it has been to see all the creativity you have shared with me through almost 100 parties.  We will have to have a big celebration for the 100th party.

Hope your week was full of creativity.  Even with sick kids (yes, they are passing something back and forth, I need to stop making them all eat off the same plate to save on dishes). I managed to get some work in and I am all set for Paris Flea Market in Livermore, CA this weekend!

On a very non-interesting technical note.  We finally got our speakers fixed in our home.  This means I can BLARE music in my office and everyone else won’t have to suffer while I indulge my childhood rocker wannabe days. BTW, Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” is the most motivational song for a child of the 70′s-80′s.  No matter how hard I tried, I could never get my hair this big. Not to mention, I can totally relate to “Under Pressure”.

Speaking of big, how about how BIG all of your talent is!

Like this desk from The Ridiculous Redhead, have you heard of “Cerusing”?  It is a really fun technique to do on wood, especially if the wood is old, and maybe stain won’t be the best option?  Check out her post and see the desk in the before.  What a beautiful redoux!

I love a good buffet Redoux and this Buffet from Martha Leon Design is so unusual.  Usually if we see cracked veneer panels, you have to peel them away, or repair.  She left these as is and painted them.  It is a gorgeous look.  Go see the post too to see all the gorgeous angles she has of this piece.

I love a good Thrift Store redoux, and the prices are high these days, so they are hard to come by!  Not this project, from The Pauper’s Castle.  She picked this cute cabinet up for only $7.99 and gave it a completely new look.  Check out her blog to see the before to really appreciate what a bargain this was!

CeCe TABLE

I know we all love doors turned into chalkboards.  I have done several myself, but never quite like this.  From Creatively Living, she added just a few cute details, and it totally stands apart from the rest of the door chalkboards.  Definitely going to try this!

I love an old table for a kitchen island.  This Island from Reposhture is not your every day old table.  Not only does it have this gorgeous, chippy enameled top, but guess what.  This clever girl was out of dark furniture wax so she used….SHOE POLISH!  To add depth and aging.  You have to see her post to see how she does it.  What a clever trick!

One of my most favorite projects on the blogosphere are benches made from head boards and foot boards.  This bench from Refresh Restyle is one of the most gorgeous ones I have seen.  She also includes very detailed instructions that are easy to follow.

Le Fini for this week’s features. I need to go work on making my hair bigger.
