CeCe Caldwells at Americas Mart in Atlanta
Have you ever checked out the Atlanta Home and Gift Show at the America’s Mart in Atlanta? It was overwhelmingly HUGE and FABULOUS and GORGEOUS! 4 buildings. 11 floors each, each building about the size of city block. I kid not, I have never seen anything close to this.
What was I doing there? Helping promote CeCe Caldwell’s 100% natural chalk and clay based paints! I blog and am a Distributor for CeCe Caldwell’s paints, teach painting techniques with this paint at Oui Redoux in Livermore, CA and I use it every day. Being asked to come along to Atlanta and show an entirely new market the paint wasn’t a business trip for me, it was like spreading the love to hundreds of new people. We even got to paint these bar stools that belonged to Tonya from Spent Round Designs! Tonya had two old bar stools she had found. We painted them right there in the booth. I distressed these with a baby wipe! No mess! Check out that beautiful rustic look.
America’s Mart is so big, with many permanent showrooms that are open year round. During the Home and Gift show, there are several hundred temporary show rooms. Building a temporary show room to show case CeCe Caldwell’s paints was not easy, but the talented team of Distributors for CeCe Caldwell’s, led by Eastern Region Distributors Tom Konopka and Jacqueline Urgo designed and executed this beautiful little hang out.

CeCe Caldwell’s paints are sold throughout the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska and Canada. Tom and Jackie wanted to come up with a way to represent all of our states and areas. This United States floor has all of the colors CeCe Caldwell’s uses. This was the floor!
The U.S. floor was inspired by the United States cut out I helped make last year at the CeCe Caldwell’s factory tour. We used Pallet Wood left over from Shipping Crates to make this project.
You can see how we did this and some inside fun, I even got everyone dancing!

The booths at America’s Mart are limited in size, so large pieces of furniture would take up too much room and make it difficult for people to walk through. Tom was a genius for this display. Tom is a very talented carpenter by trade. Tom actually cut the furniture backs off, making them look like they were built into the wall.
Or you can use it in a more traditional look like this bead board and table and bench. And guess what, that table and bench are stained with a soon to be released ALL NATURAL stain that just wipes on. It even has a sealer in it. No smell, no mess. I cannot wait for this product. Can you believe that, an all natural stain??? CeCe Caldwell’s stain is in production and ready to go as I type, along with three new colors!
Back to the CeCe Caldwell’s booth, to put the booth together and finalize the painting of everything, it was like a barn raising! Several CeCe Caldwell’s Distributors, their spouses and staff met together before the mart to assemble, build and paint.
CeCeCalwell, Daughter Lauren Morris DeFore, Toni Buckner Distributor, Kelli Morris, CeCe’s Daughter and Donna Haile (Doozie of Doozie’s Corner). All dynamos in their fields with CeCe Caldwell’s paints.
Everybody loves a Tiki bar! We had one! The Tiki bar, built and designed by Tom Konopka. The Tiki/paint bar was trimmed out with 902 CeCe Caldwell’s Stir Sticks. Can you believe that?! The roof is all Stir sticks and the sides, mimicking grass, are all stir sticks. Even the Tiki bar was designed to come apart easily so it can be reassembled for future use. I would love to borrow it for a weekend…..
That’s Distributor Toni Buckner serving up some CeCe Caldwell’s 100% Natural Chalk and Clay Based paints!
At our Tiki bar, we held court using it as a Paint Bar! Two stools were in front so people walking by could hang out, try out the paint and get to know the Distributors. And oh my, did people stop by!
(Bragtime) We were definitely the “popular kids” in our section of the America’s Mart, the “Made in America section. CeCe Caldwell’s is a 100% American made product. The base is made here. CeCe Caldwell’s paints are mixed and packaged here in the United States. CeCe Caldwell’s 100% Chalk and Clay Based Paint is American through and through. Who wouldn’t want to stop and paint, learn about a fabulous product that is 100% natural, durable, and can transform your home and is an all American Product too.

The CeCe Caldwell’s family is a fun family, and one that I am so grateful to belong to. CeCe Caldwell’s is a family owned and operated business. CeCe Caldwell’s treats everyone, from the Distributors who oversee each region, to the retailers who sell the paint in their stores, to me, the blogger and official cheerleader, to the customer who uses their paint as part of their family.
