Best CeCe Caldwell’s Projects at Redouxinteriors
Happy New Year! This is the BIG day I have been waiting for. I have been working with CeCe Caldwell’s 100% Natural Paints and products for 4 years now. In January 2011, someone linked a cute painted stairs project to my site. I was so intrigued with the paint, I had never heard of it before. The blogger told me it was a new American company that was making a 100% natural chalk and clay based paint and finishes. I had to know more, it was like fate was pushing me forward and I had to be a part of this company. For the last four years I have had the privilege of blogging and promoting CeCe Caldwell’s Paints and teaching with them. CeCe Caldwell’s is a family owned company, their products are 100% made in America.
Their products are natural, earth friendly and even the cans their products come in are recyclable and the paper the labels are printed on is recycled paper and earth friendly ink. What really makes this company amazing is the people. Every employee at CeCe Caldwell’s is considered part of the CeCe Caldwell’s family. And working with CeCe Caldwell’s people, it really feels like I am working with some of my favorite family members.

Starting today, I am officially part of a partnership. My friend Kim Cushing and I will be working as Distributors for CeCe Caldwell’s paints for Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. As Distributors, we are indpendent contractors to CeCe Caldwell’s. With a new business comes a new name! Kim and I together make up OuiRedoux.
Still part Redoux, but now there is a “Oui”. I will still be here at Redouxinteriors blogging and sharing projects, but I will be even busier with Kim at OuiRedoux. If you live in the SF Bay Area, or will be visiting, I hope you will look us up and come take a class with us! We have a full service warehouse where will be offering regular WORKSHOPS and special events.
Now onto my favorite CeCe projects!
There are endless ways to use CeCe Caldwell’s paints, and I feel like I have just begun! CeCe Caldwell’s paints will adhere to almost any surface, which makes the options endless for what you can create.
For the last four years, I have been sharing my furniture and JUNK makeovers with you. Almost all made over with CeCe Caldwell’s paints and enhancements. Here are some of mine and YOUR favorite projects.
CeCe Caldwell’s goes great over Leather. I had some old leather chairs that were stained and ugly. Check out how you can paint and even put a glaze and a crackle over leather with CeCe Caldwell’s paints. Read all about it in Yep It’s Leather and I Painted It.
Not only do CeCe Caldwell’s paints show up beautifully on leather, they also work beautifully on vinyl! Check out how I painted these two inexpensive Vinyl Chairs and made them look like old aged leather in How to Paint a Vinyl Chair.
You can paint CeCe Caldwell’s on glass. I made over this old bathroom cabinet. Check out how to paint on glass and have it come out picture perfect in Red Alert Check the Medicine Cabinet and Paint the Glass.
CeCe Caldwell’s makes not only beautiful 100% natural paints, they make amazing and durable finishes too. One of my favorites is their No VOC hard wearing Endurance. It is a non-yellowing Polyurethane, and there is no smell. I show you how you can even apply it with a rag, and buff it with a piece of a brown grocery bag. Check out my post and fun How-To Video in How To Use Endurance.
I love the look of glamorous finishes. CeCe Caldwell’s has an entire line of 100% natural metallic waxes that put the glam into any of your projects. I love FREE FURNITURE even more and I show you how to make your furniture gorgeous Free French Table that Goes Glam.
One of my favorite things to do with CeCe Caldwell’s Paints is layer the paints, then use a DAMP CLOTH to distress it! I have layered even four layers of paint and the effects are gorgeous. Check out how to layer CeCe paints in The Layered Look Dresser.
Have you heard of Aging Dust? It is a product made by CeCe Caldwell’s and 100% natural that you use to giver your furniture and “Aged Look”. It is different from Aging Cream, which is fantastic too. Check out how I redid this Nightstand with Aging Dust.
I love the look of old chippy furniture. You can create the look of old chippy furniture with a surprising kitchen tool and CeCe paints. Check out how to get the chippy look in Get The Chippy Look.
CeCe Caldwell’s makes 100% natural glaze too. You can even make something look old and weathered with just water and CeCe Glaze in Weathered Wood Coffee Table.
One of my most favorite things about CeCe Caldwell’s paints is how many original colors you can come up with by mixing their colors. I show you how to in a Room Divided and Shuttered.
I am so excited for what 2015 will bring. Happy New Year to all of you. I am so grateful for everyone that has come by my quirky blog to check out what I pulled from a Dumpster, repurposed and made over. Hope this year brings you amazing opportunities to Redoux something in your life.
